Campus union presents first-ever awards to students

The United Campus Workers chapter at Jax State and Friends of the Union celebrated the first winners of the Student Worker Awards Tuesday, April 28 in the Houston Cole Library.

The awards were split up into graduate and undergraduate awards. In both categories, first, second and third place winners each received $500, $100 and $50, respectively.

The organizations have secured the funds to produce these awards for the next five years, and there is hope to secure further funds to continue the awards after that five-year period.
