Billboard calls for better pay for university employees

In a video segment on WVUA 23, UCWAL member Anthony Willing explains that for many UA employees, being paid near the federal minimum wage often means needing a second job.

Faced with rising inflation, the affordability crisis is one of the main motivations behind the cost of living adjustment (COLA) campaign at the University of Alabama. The campaign caught widespread attention in the month of April when UCWAL rented a billboard on University Boulevard in Tuscaloosa leading up to commencement weekend, calling out compensation at Alabama's flagship institution - 'Where Legends Aren't Paid.'
